Ottawa man charged with further Child Sexual Offences

(Ottawa)— Ottawa Police Service Sexual Assault and Child Abuse (SACA) Section has charged an Ottawa man following an investigation into historical allegations of child sexual assaults. The investigation began June 20th, 2016 when a victim came forward to report the abuse. The incidents occurred in Ottawa and out of town between 1972 and 1975.

On November 17, 2016, SACA arrested and charged Donald GREENHAM, 73 years old, of Addison, Ontario with 6 criminal offences including Gross Indecency, Indecent Assault on a Male, as per Criminal Code charges existing at the time of the offences.

These charges related to multiple incidents involving victims ranging in age from 13-14 years old and occurred while Mr. Greenham was in the course of his duties as a Guidance Counselor and Coach with the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board.

He will appear in court on November 22, 2016.

The Ottawa Police continue their investigation and are concerned there could be more victims.
