VICTIM IDENTIFIED IN FATAL COLLISION (update)
(South Glengarry) – On November 30, 2016 at approximately 11:30am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a multiple vehicle collision on County Road 2, South Glengarry Township (near Purcell Road).
Investigation has indicated that a 2010 Honda Civic, driven by a 20-year-old male from South Stormont Township, was eastbound when, for reasons under investigation, he lost control and collided with a westbound 2015 Dodge van, driven by a 61-year-old female from South Glengarry Township. Three (3) occupants from the Honda were taken to hospital where a male passenger, Kyle QUESNEL (20) of Cornwall, Ontario was pronounced deceased while the driver and a 19-year-old female passenger from Cornwall, Ontario received life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the van (lone occupant) was also taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A third vehicle (pick-up & trailer) was involved but made minor contact after the fact – no injuries resulted.
OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) are assisting SD&G OPP with the investigation. A section of County Road 2, between Gilmour Road and Purcell Road was closed to traffic and re-opened at approximately 11:00pm.
