(LEEDS, ON.) – Officers of the Leeds Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police are continuing an investigation into a collision that claimed the life of an 86 year old man.
On the 8th of December 2016 at about 11:57 AM O.P.P officers from Leeds County Detachment responded to a single motor vehicle collision on County Road 8, west of Lake Eloida Road in Elizabethtown-Kitley Township. Investigation revealed that a westbound car left its lane and struck a metal guard rail.
The vehicle operator, 86 year old James WASHER, of Athens Township, was deceased at the scene.
A post mortem is scheduled.
The investigation continues.
