Breach & Warrants in Cornwall ONtario #CCPS Jan 10, 2017

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Christopher Chicoine, 35 of Saint-Eustache was arrested on January 9th, 2017 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man breached his probation order and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On January 9th, 2017 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

ASSAULT, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 53-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on January 9th, 2017 and charged with assault and five counts of breach of recognizance for not residing at a specific address, being outside her residence when unaccompanied, communicating with a certain person, attending his residence and for having consumed alcohol. It is alleged on January 9th, 2017 the intoxicated woman punched a man that was visiting her ex-boyfriend and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation it was learned the woman was in breach of several recognizance conditions. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as the conditions stem from a domestic incident and would identify the victim in the matter.

BREACH, MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 22-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on January 9th, 2017 and charged with mischief and breach of recognizance for communicating with his ex-girlfriend. He was also charged with breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on January 8th, 2017 the man attended his ex-girlfriend’s residence and damaged a door. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
