Snow Starts Today in Cornwall ON Area – 20cm Expected by Wednesday JAN 23, 2017

CORNWALL ONTARIO – Flurries start today.   Part of our mild winter is a potential increase in snow with warmer temperatures.

From Tuesday (-4c) through Wednesday expect up to 20cm of snow with most landing during Tuesday.   Dribs and drabs of snow will persist through the week as mild temperatures stick in the region.

  • Morrisburg – Long Sault
  • Winchester – Newington

Winter returns with a significant snowfall on tap beginning tonight and continuing Tuesday.

A strong and moisture laden low pressure area is forecast to move northeast near the Eastern Seaboard of the United States tonight and Tuesday. This storm track is close enough to Eastern Ontario for a significant snowfall to be an issue Monday night and Tuesday.

Latest indications suggests that snow, possibly heavy at times, will begin later tonight then continue through Tuesday. The snow may be mixed with ice pellets. Snow and ice pellet amounts up to 15 centimetres are expected by the time it winds down Tuesday night.

Snowfall warnings may be required for parts of Eastern Ontario as the snowfall forecast becomes more certain.

Travellers should be aware of accumulating snow and low visibility in snow tonight and Tuesday, and adjust their travel plans accordingly.

  3. The way things are now Jamie people cannot pay their hydro bills and eat under Ontario Hydro. The conditions that our Canadians are in now is mighty serious and Justine cannot handle the hell on earth that is coming. Our dollar is based on the US dollar and theirs is going to fall as well. Listen to this man he is very credible. Carbon taxes? How is anybody going to pay that in this crisis.
