JASON BAKER Charged After Assaulting Prescott #OPP Officer MARCH 6, 2017

(Prescott, Ont.) – Between Monday February 27th to Sunday March the 5th 2017, the Prescott Office of the Grenville Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 84 general occurrences. Of these occurrences, 23 were in Edwardsburgh /Cardinal Township, 20 in Augusta Township, 21 in the town of Prescott, and 20 on highway 401 and 416.

On the 3rd of March 2017 officers from the OPP, Prescott detachment, attended a Wood street address, in response to a 911 call. At this location officers were attempting to determine the reasons as to why 911 was dialed. An intoxicated male at the residence was not cooperative and became aggressive, grabbing an officer and pushing him backwards. The involved officer did not report any injuries. Jason BAKER, age 26, of Prescott Ontario was charged with:

Assaulting a Peace Officer
Resisting Arrest
The accused was released on a Promise to Appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on March 31st, 2017.
