IMPAIRED DRIVER
(South Glengarry) – On April 2, 2017 at approximately 11:18pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a minor 2-vehicle collision at a property on Hay Rad, South Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that the adult male driver of one of the vehicles involved was under the influence of alcohol.
Chad MCDONELL (33) of Cornwall, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Driving a Motor Vehicle While Impaired
– Driving a Motor Vehicle With More Than 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in Blood
– Drive a Motor Vehicle – No Licence (Highway Traffic Act (HTA)
– Novice Driver – Blood Alcohol Content Above Zero (HTA)
He was released and is scheduled to appear on the Criminal Code charges at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on May 13, 2017.
DRUGS SEIZED
(South Glengarry) – On April 2, 2017 at approximately 1:11am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a request for assistance at the Ministry of Transportation Ontario (MTO) scales on Highway 401, South Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that a quantity of suspected marihuana had been seized from a commercial vehicle.
The male driver, Lovedeep SINGH (23) of Brampton, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Possession of a Controlled Substance
He was released and is scheduled to appear on the Criminal Code charges at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on May 3, 2017.
THEFT OF ENCLOSED TRAILER
(North Stormont) – On March 31, 2017 – between 11:00am and 3:00pm, a white 2011 “Haulin” enclosed utility cargo trailer (6″x10″) was stolen from a property on Gravel Hill Road, North Stormont Township. The unit is a single axle with white rims, side access door and rear barn-style doors.
