#OPP Charge Couple Near Brockville After Hwy 401 Stop APRIL 18, 2017

(LEEDS, ON.) –   Members of the Ontario Provincial Police are continuing an investigation into illegal activity after a traffic stop.

On the 13th of April 2017 at about 10:00 A.M. Members of the Ontario Provincial Police , in Elizabethtown-Kitley Township stopped a vehicle on Highway 401 near Brockville after receiving a traffic complaint. As a result of an investigation a male and a female were arrested and criminal charges were processed.

25 year old Ryan MCMANUS of Loyalist Township faces charges of Dangerous Driving, Operating a Motor Vehicle while Impaired by a Drug, 2 counts of Breach of probation, 2 counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, and Possession of Break-in Instruments.

24 year old Mary LEEDER of Kingston faces charges of 2 counts of Breach of Probation, 2 counts of Breach of a Recognizance, 2 counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, and Possession of Break-in Instruments.

Both are scheduled for bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice, Provincial Division in Brockville on the 18 April 2017 to answer to their charges.

If you suspect that someone is driving or about to drive impaired, call 9-1-1 and report it. If you see that someone is impaired by alcohol or other drugs and intends on driving, strongly discourage them from driving and call 9-1-1 if they insist
