Tractor Trailer Driver DAVID PRONOVOST of Quebec Charged by OPP Near Brockville MAY 19, 2017

(LEEDS, ON.) –   Officers of the Leeds Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police stopped an impaired driver after several traffic complaints.

On the 18th of May 2017 at about 9:00 PM Leeds O.P.P officers were conducting patrol after receiving numerous complaints about the driving of a tractor trailer on the westbound lanes of Highway 401. The tractor trailer was located on Highway 401 in Leeds and the 1000 Islands Township. The driver, through further investigation was found to be impaired. He was arrested and his tractor was towed and impounded.

43 year old David PRONOVOST of Quebec is scheduled to answer to his Impaired Driving charge at the Ontario Court of Justice – Provincial Division, Brockville on 30 June 2017.

Drivers are reminded that Leeds County OPP officers will continue to conduct R.I.D.E checks (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) at various times and locations throughout the day and evening.
