SD&G #OPP Round Up for May 25, 2017

CHARGES LAID RELATING TO THEFT

 

 

(South Dundas) – On May 12, 2017 at approximately 4:28pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a theft at a residence on Louden Drive, South Dundas Township.

Investigation indicated that culprit(s) attended a property and removed a tailgate from a parked vehicle.

 

On May 24th 2017 SD&G OPP Officers arrested two males in connection with the theft following their investigation.

 

Anthony LEVERE (31) of North Dundas, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

 

– Theft – Under $5000

– Trafficking in Stolen Goods

– Possession of Property obtained by crime

 

Alexander McLAUGHLIN (25) of Cardinal, Ontario was arrested and charged with;

 

– Possession of Property obtained by crime

 

 

Both Males were released and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg on June 6th 2017.

 

 

EXCESSIVE SPEEDS

 

 

(South Dundas) – On May 24, 2017, SD&G Ontario Provincial Police officers conducted speed measuring enforcement on Highway 401, South Dundas Township and intercepted the following vehicles for travelling at excessive speeds. The vehicles were impounded and the drivers’ permits seized for seven (7) days in accordance with policy.

 

– May 24, 2017 – 10:09am (South Dundas): vehicle stopped travelling 156km/h (100km/h zone). Male driver (47) from Brampton, Ontario was charged accordingly.

 

– May 24, 2017 – 11:39pm (South Dundas): vehicle stopped travelling 171km/h (100km/h zone). Male driver (27) from Toronto, Ontario was charged accordingly.
