Canadian Blood Services Honouring Residents in Ottawa JUNE 12, 2017

Ottawa donors celebrated at local event

 

WHAT:            As Canada prepares to celebrate its 150th year, Canadian Blood Services will be honouring residents in Ottawa and area, and recognizing their commitment to giving life to patients across the country. Honouring Our LifeBlood is an annual recognition ceremony for those who have achieved significant milestones in blood, platelets and plasma donation. The event also celebrates partners, volunteers and stem cell donors.

                        To highlight the generosity of the honourees, Dr Elianna Saidenberg will be the guest speaker for the evening. Dr Saidenberg is a hematologist and cancer patient.

Local ceremonies are being held in 30 communities across the country from April 17 to June 15, 2017.

WHO:              Approximately 175 donors, volunteers and partners will be honoured at the event.

WHEN:           June 12th 2017, 7pm to 9pm
