Shooting investigation at Rosemere Avenue and Springhurst Avenue
(Ottawa) –The Ottawa Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit is investigating a shooting that took place in the Rosemere Avenue and Springhurst Avenue area on June 14, 2017 around 1:00am.
Front line officers attended the area for 911 calls indicating gunshots being fired. On arrival, officers determined and established a perimeter of a crime scene. Evidence of gun violence was located within the perimeter of the protected scene. There was no victim(s) or suspect(s) located at the scene.
A 27 year old male victim was located at a local hospital with non-life threatening gunshot injuries. Also a vehicle was seized from the hospital parking lot.
A 23 year old male is in custody. No charges have been laid at this time.
Investigators from Guns and Gangs Unit continue the investigation.
