Stabbing on OC Transpo bus

 

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Central Criminal Investigations Unit is investigating a stabbing that occurred on an OC Transpo bus.

On August 3, 2017, at approximately 2:10 am, patrol officers responded to a stabbing call at the intersection on Albert Street and Kent Street. Officers arrived and boarded the bus and located a male victim. The victim had a stab wound. The victim was treated by paramedics and taken to the Ottawa hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival. He is described as a black male, 18 to 22 years old, 6’2″ (188cm) and thinly built. He was clean-shaven and has long braided hair. He was wearing an army camouflage short jacket and skinny jeans.
