SD&G #OPP Round Up & Boat Stolen in S Glengarry August 8, 2017

STOLEN VEHICLE

(South Glengarry) – On August 4, 2017 at approximately 9:37am, Stormont Dundas &Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report of a Boat being taken from a property on 80th Avenue, South Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that overnight (August 3-4, 2017) a Northwood Angler 1667 Aluminum, with 50 Hp Evinrude engine was stolen.

BREACH OF CONDITIONS

(South Glengarry) – On August 4, 2017 at approximately 3:06 pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of a male breaching his release conditions on County Road 2, South Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated a male was in contravention of previous release conditions.

Pierre CHICOINE (69) of Montreal, Quebec was arrested and is charged with;

– Fail to Comply with Undertaking

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on August 10, 2017.

EXCESSIVE SPEEDS

(Stormont Dundas and Glengarry) – On August 6-7, 2017, SD&G Ontario Provincial Police officers conducted speed measuring enforcement on Highway 401, Highway 138, County Roads 31 and 34 in Stormont Dundas and Glengarry Townships and intercepted the following vehicles for travelling at excessive speeds. The vehicles were impounded and the driver’s permit seized for seven (7) days in accordance to policy.

 

– August 6, 2017 – 10:58am (South Dundas); vehicle stopped travelling 160km/h (100km/h zone). Male driver (20) from Edwardsburgh, Ontario was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).

 

– August 6, 2017 – 6:29pm (North Glengarry); vehicle stopped travelling 138km/h (80km/h zone). Male driver (22) from Ottawa, Ontario was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).

 

– August 7, 2017 – 7:43am (South Dundas); vehicle stopped travelling 158km/h (100km/h zone). Male driver (26) from Pickering, Ontario was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).

 

– August 7, 2017 – 8:21am (North Dundas); vehicle stopped travelling 131km/h (80km/h zone). Male driver (20) from Gatineau, Quebec was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).

                                                                                          

-August 7, 2017 – 8:36am (South Stormont); vehicle stopped travelling 134km/h (80km/h zone). Female driver (60) from Rockland, Ontario was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).

-August 7, 2017 – 12:06pm (South Stormont); vehicle stopped travelling 155km/h (100km/h zone). Male driver (25) from Mississauga, Ontario was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).

 

– August 7, 2017 – 2:23pm (South Dundas); vehicle stopped travelling 152km/h (100km/h zone). Male driver (18) from Guelph, Ontario was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).                                                                                                                                                 

– August 7, 2017 – 4:59pm (South Dundas); vehicle stopped travelling 156km/h (100km/h zone). Male driver (21) from North York, Ontario was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).

 

IMPAIRED DRIVER

(North Dundas) – On August 7, 2017 at approximately 9:23 pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers intercepted a vehicle as a result of a traffic complaint on County Road 7, North Dundas Township. The investigation revealed that the adult female driver was under the influence of alcohol.

Leona COYNE (61) of North Dundas, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

– Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in blood

– Care or Control a Motor Vehicle while Impaired

She was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg on September 5, 2017.
