AGGRAVATED SEXUAL ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – A 34 year old Barrie, Ontario man was arrested on September 20, 2017. It is alleged that on August 13, 2017, he engaged in sexual activity with an acquaintance while knowing he was HIV positive and not disclosing it as directed by provincial health care. Police were contacted and an investigation was conducted. The man was charged with Aggravated Sexual Assault. He was held for a Bail Hearing. His name is not being released in order to protect the identity of the victim.
THEFT AND BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Robert MacDonald, age 18, of Cornwall, was arrested on September 21, 2017. He is currently bound by a Recognizance Order with the relevant conditions to observe a curfew of 10pm to 6am, and to not possess any negotiable identification card or document unless lawfully issued in his name. It is alleged that on September 16, 2017, he took an individual’s wallet from within a motor vehicle. He then proceeded to make purchases with a debit card he found in the wallet. Police were contacted and an investigation was conducted. He was subsequently charged with Theft Under $5000 and 2 count of Breach of Recognizance. He was held for a Bail Hearing.
