Mascouche Man Charged With Torching Own Car in Cornwall 121417

ARSON

Cornwall, ON – Andre Roy, 48 of Mascouche, QC was arrested on December 12th, 2017 and charged with arson. It is alleged the man set fire to his own vehicle which was parked on Rotary Lane on June 20th, 2017. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On December 12th, 2017 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on January 18th, 2018.



CHOCKING, ASSAULT, THREATS, MISCHIEF, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 33-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on December 12th, 2017 and charged with overcome resistance (choking), assault, threats, mischief and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged between November, 2016 and December 12th, 2017 the man assaulted his common-law wife on more than one occasion, chocked her and threatened to harm her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the man was taken into custody and at that time damaged a wall within the residence. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

 

There were 33 calls for service in the City of Cornwall in the last 24 hours (8am the previous day to 8am the day of the release).

  1. Life is getting crazier all the time and I often wonder who is the craziest of all. To live in this world one has to be awful wackie and I don’t want to live like this. Every time I go out people are stuck on cell phones like their life depended on them and they are a complete blank and don’t know where they are going and now this man torches his own car. Whats next.
