Cornwall Ontario #CCPS Police Blotter for Tuesday January 16, 2018

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 22-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on January 15th, 2018 and charged with breach of recognizance for communicating with his ex-wife and being within 200 meters of her residence. He was also charged with breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged during the month of January, 2018 the man contacted his ex-wife on several occasions and attended her residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On January 15th, 2018 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.



FRAUD

Cornwall, ON – Richard Hess-Andre, 20 of Cornwall was arrested on January 15th, 2018 and charged 10 counts of fraud. It is alleged throughout the month of September, 2017 the man made several fraudulent deposits to his account and police were contacted to investigate. On January 15th, 2018 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on February 15th, 2018.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 46-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on January 15th, 2018 and charged with breach of recognizance and probation for communicating with his mother and being where she might be. He was also charged with breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on January 15th, 2018 the man was in breach of his conditions and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 1st, 2018. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

There were 26 calls for service in the City of Cornwall in the last 24 hours (8am the previous day to 8am the day of the release).
