POSSESSION OF BREAK IN TOOLS, BREAK AND ENTER

Cornwall, ON – Neil Foster, 39 of Napanee and Chantelle Johnston, 33 of Kingston were arrested on January 31st, 2018 and charged with break and enter and possession of break in tools. Foster was also charged with breach of undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on December 2nd, 2017 they committed a break and enter at a local gas bar and police were contacted to investigate. On January 31st, 2018 Foster was taken into custody at the Cornwall Courthouse while Johnston attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. Both were charged accordingly and held for bail hearings.



BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 42-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on January 31st, 2018 and charged with breach of recognizance for being outside his residence, communicating with a certain person and being within 100 meters of that person. It is alleged throughout the month of December, 2017 the man breached his conditions by attending his ex-girlfriend’s residence and police were contacted to investigate. On January 31st, 2018 the man was located by police, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as the conditions stem from a domestic incident and would identify the victim in the matter.

Cornwall, ON – A 31-year-old Williamstown man was arrested on January 31st, 2018 and charged with breach of probation for communicating with his ex-girlfriend and failing to keep the peace. He was also charged with breach of a court order for communicating with her. It is alleged the man communicated with his ex-girlfriend during the month of January, 2018 and police were contacted to investigate. On January 31st, 2018 the man who was in custody on other charges was advised of the additional charges and he remained in custody pending a bail hearing. His name was not released as the conditions stem from a domestic incident and would identify the victim in the matter.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – A 38-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on January 31st, 2018 on the strength of a committal warrant. It is alleged the man failed to pay child support and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On January 31st, 2018 the man was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

There were 34 calls for service in the City of Cornwall in the last 24 hours (8am the previous day to 8am the day of the release).
