SD&G #OPP Bust 2 Cornwall Men in Meth & Marijuana Bust on Hwy 138 032318

DRUGS AND CASH SEIZED

 

(SOUTH STORMONT, ON) On March 20, 2018 at 10:19am, members of the Community Street Crime Unit, (ERT) and SD&G OPP officers conducted a traffic stop on Highway 138, South Stormont Township. This resulted in the seizure of a quantity of Marihuana and methamphetamine pills plus an undisclosed amount of Canadian currency.

 

Danial COOK (32) of Cornwall, Ontario was arrested and charged with;

 

– Possession of a Controlled Substance for the purpose of Trafficking (2 counts)

– Possession of a controlled substance

– Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000

– Fail to comply with conditions of a recognizance (6 counts)

– Resist peace officer

 

Kyle FREEMAN (28) of Cornwall, Ontario was arrested and charged with;

 

– Possession of a Controlled Substance for the purpose of Trafficking (2 counts)

– Possession of a controlled substance

– Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000

 

 

COOK was held in custody pending a court appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.

Freeman was released and scheduled to appear in Cornwall court on May 15, 2018.

 

BREACH OF CONDITIONS

 

(SOUTH DUNDAS, ON) – On March 20, 2018 at approximately 11:24am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a domestic disturbance on County Road 18, South Dundas Township. An Investigation indicated that a female was in contravention of conditions imposed from a previous incident. Further investigation revealed that she had entered the residence unlawfully and removed property.

 

A 30-year-old female from Cornwall, Ontario was arrested and charged with;

 

– Fail to Comply Recognizance (11 counts)

– Unlawfully in dwelling

– Theft under $5000

– Uttering threats (2 counts)

– Fail to comply with Probation order (11 counts)

– Mischief under $5000

– Break and enter

– Possession of a controlled substance

 

She was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.

Her name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.                                                                                   

 

 

 

DOMESTIC INVESTIGATION

 

 

(SOUTH DUNDAS, ON) – On March 21, 2018 at approximately 3:24pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic situation in a vehicle on Fifth Street East in South Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation had taken place between a female and her wife. The Investigation revealed that the female had assaulted his wife.

 

A 38-year-old female from Calgary, Alberta was arrested and is charged with;

 

– Assault (2 counts)

 

He was held in custody pending a court appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.

His name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.

 

BREACH OF CONDITIONS

 

 

(NORTH GLENGARRY, ON) – On March 21, 2018 at approximately 4:32pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of a disturbance on Glen Robertson Road, North Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated a male was in contravention of previous release conditions.

 

Normand LACOMBE (57) was arrested and is charged with;

 

– Fail to Comply with Recognizance (2 counts)

 

He was held in custody pending a court appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.

                                                            



DOMESTIC INVESTIGATION

 

(NORTH GLENGARRY, ON) – On March 22, 2018 at approximately 12:28am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic situation in a residence in North Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation had taken place between a male and his common-law wife. The Investigation revealed that the male had threatened his wife.

 

A 51-year-old male from Hawkesbury, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

 

– Uttering threats

 

He was released and scheduled to appear in Cornwall court on April 10, 2018.

His name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.
