#CCPS Cornwall Community Police Service Blotter for May 25, 2018

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Windell King, 37, of Cornwall was arrested on May 24th, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged on April 19th, 2018 the man demanded video games from a man known to him and assaulted him with a knife. Police were contacted and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On May 24th, 2018 the man was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

FRAUD UNDER $5000, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Travis Cook, 36, of Cornwall was arrested on May 24th, 2018 and charged with fraud under $5000 and breach of recognizance for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on December 20th, 2017, the man altered a cheque that did not belong to him and deposited the cheque into his bank account. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On May 24th, 2018, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 28th, 2018.
