Cornwall Community Police Service Blotter for June 5, 2018 #CCPS

FRAUD, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Karisha Jones, 24, of Lascelle, QC was arrested on June 4th, 2018 and charged with fraud under $5000 and breach of a peace bond for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on January 3rd, 2018 the woman called someone not known to her and pretended to be a relative in trouble and requested money. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On June 4th, 2018 the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 3rd, 2018.




BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Richard Massia, 28, of Cornwall was arrested on June 5th, 2018 and charged with breach of recognizance for being out past curfew, consuming drugs, and possessing a debit card. It is alleged in the early morning hours on June 5th, 2018 the man was in breach of his conditions and police were contacted to investigate. He was taken into custody and was found to be in possession of a debit card, despite his conditions. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
