Overnight Fire Destroys Triplex Near Montreal Road in Cornwall Ontario 071418


Cornwall Ontario –  A triplex went up in flames just after midnight in Cornwall Ontario.   The building, near La Maison was destroyed and an investigation will continue.  No injuries were reported.

Witnesses reported hearing a LOUD BOOM before the building went up in flames.

Kudos to the brave and talented firefighters of the CFS who made sure that the fire didn’t spread as they worked through the night.  The le village section of Cornwall has a high density of older buildings.

Fire Department Responds to Montreal Rd Structure Fire

The Event

At 12:58 am, on Sat morning July 14th, a call was received by the 911 operator advising of a Structure fire on the 800 block of Montreal Rd.

The Response

The Fire Services Department responded with four vehicles from Both fire halls. A total of 14 fire personnel and seven vehicles were at the scene.

The Summary

The fire was quickly extinguished with no injuries or loss of life. Crews are still on scene at the time of this release.

The Fire Prevention unit will be dispatched to investigate the cause of the fire at a later date.
