WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – A 26-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on October 25th, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man assaulted his girlfriend and made threats to harm her. It is further alleged the man drove a vehicle while being disqualified from doing so and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, a warrant was obtained for his arrest. On October 25th, 2018, a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service assumed custody of the man from OPP as they had the man in custody on the strength of Cornwall’s warrant. The warrant was executed and the man was held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

CRIMINAL HARASSMENT, THREATS, MISCHIEF UNDER $5000

Cornwall, ON – A 26-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on October 25th, 2018 and charged with criminal harassment, mischief under $5000 and threats x 5. It is alleged on October 13th, 2018 the man repeatedly contacted his ex-girlfriend and made threats to harm her and her property, as well as a man known to him. It is further alleged the man attended his ex-girlfriend’s residence and damaged an outdoor decoration. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On October 25th, 2018, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 27th, 2018. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
