THEFT UNDER, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Claire Lafaille, 29, of Cornwall was arrested on October 30th, 2018 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of undertaking & probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged the woman attended a Ninth Street store on October 11th, 2018, at which time she removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as she was leaving the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On October 30th, 2018, the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Christopher Sabourin, 27, of Cornwall was arrested on October 30th, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man removed merchandise from a Brookdale Avenue, Water Street and Ninth Street business, making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the store, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On October 30th, 2018, police located the man. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

Cornwall, ON – Robert Corbett, 37, of Ingleside was arrested on October 30th, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to attend court on September 23rd, 2018 for a breach charge and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On October 30th, 2018, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on November 29th, 2018.

DISTRIBUTION OF INTIMATE IMAGES

Cornwall, ON – A 25-year-old Akwesasne woman was arrested on October 30th, 2018 and charged with distribution of intimate images. It is alleged the woman distributed intimate pictures of her ex-girlfriend and police were contacted to investigate. On October 30th, 2018 the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 27th, 2018. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

THEFT UNDER $5000, TRESPASS BY NIGHT, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Ryan Mitchell, 22, of Cornwall was arrested on October 31st, 2018 and charged with theft under $5000, trespass by night and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged in the early morning hours of October 31st, 2018, the man was rummaging through parked vehicles in the area of Belmont Street and removed a bank card from a vehicle. Police were contacted and located the man in the area. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 29th, 2018.

Cornwall, ON – Gilles Desforges, 41, of Cornwall was arrested on October 30th, 2018 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of undertaking & probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged the man attended a Ninth Street store and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
