Alcohol Abuse as Woman Charged in Cornwall After Throwing Beer & Cologne 110618

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Katlen Moore, 27, of Cornwall was arrested on November 5th, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the woman failed to attend court on June 19th, 2018 for driving while disqualified and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On November 5th, 2018, the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

CRIMINAL HARASSMENT, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – An 18-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on November 5th, 2018 and charged with criminal harassment and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged between October 30-31, 2018, the man attended his ex-girlfriend’s residence after being warned not to and police were contacted to investigate. On November 5th, 2018, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.




UTTER FORGED DOCUMENTS, FRAUD UNDER $5000, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Tyanna Tessier, 23, of Cornwall was arrested on November 5th, 2018 and charged with the following:

• Fraud under $5000
• Utter forged document
• Possession of property obtained by crime
• Breach of recognizance (fail to keep the peace & abide by curfew)
• Breach of undertaking (fail to keep the peace & abide by curfew)

It is alleged on July 26th, 2018, the woman cashed forged cheques that had went missing from a Cornwall residence and police were contacted to investigate. On November 5th, 2018, a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service attended the courthouse as the woman was in custody for an unrelated matter. She was charged accordingly and remained in custody pending a bail hearing.

ASSAULT, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, MISCHIEF UNDER $5000, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 28-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on November 5th, 2018 and charged with the following:

• Assault
• Assault with a weapon x 2
• Mischief under $5000
• Breach of undertaking (for consuming alcohol and failing to keep the peace)

It is alleged during an argument on October 5th, 2018, the woman threw a case of beer at her boyfriend. It is further alleged on November 4th, 2018, the intoxicated woman assaulted her boyfriend with a beer bottle and damaged a bottle of cologne and a shaver belonging to him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On November 5th, 2018, the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Lancaster youth was arrested on November 5th, 2018 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged the youth attended a Second Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the item as he left the store. He was stopped by a Loss Prevention Officer and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, the youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 47-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on November 6th, 2018 and charged with threats x 3. It is alleged on November 4th, 2018, the man sent a message on social media threatening to harm his brothers, as well as a man known to him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victims in the matter.
