ASSAULT, MISCHIEF UNDER $5000, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – A 30-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on November 14th, 2018 and charged with the following:
• Assault x 3
• Mischief under $5000
• Breach of probation (failing to keep the peace)
It is alleged on November 11th, 2018, the man assaulted his girlfriend on 3 occasions and damaged a television within the residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On November 14th, 2018, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Steven Nyhof, 39, of Cornwall was arrested on November 14th, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man breached his probation and a warrant was issued for his arrest. During a traffic stop on November 14th, 2018, police located the man. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on December 13th, 2018.
DOMESTIC MISCHIEF
Cornwall, ON – A 21-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on November 14th, 2018 and charged with mischief under $5000. It is alleged during an argument with his ex-girlfriend, the man damaged a wall in her residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 29th, 2018. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
