BREAK AND ENTER, THREATS, ASSAULT, MISCHIEF UNDER $5000

Cornwall, ON – A 27-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on January 9th, 2019 and charged with the following:

• Break and enter
• Threats x 2
• Assault
• Mischief under $5000

It is alleged on January 6th, 2019, the man forcefully entered his mother’s residence without permission, damaging the front door. The man also allegedly made threats to harm his mother and her husband, and further assaulted her husband. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On January 9th, 2019, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victims in the matter.

SEXUAL ASSAULT, SEXUAL INTERFERENCE, INVITATION TO SEXUAL TOUCHING

This item was removed at the request of the CCPS due to a publication ban.

THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Jacob Cook, 42, of Cornwall was arrested on January 9th, 2019 and charged with theft under $5000 x 2 and breach of probation x 2 for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on December 6th, 2018, the man attended a Ninth Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the item as he left the store. It is further alleged on January 3rd, 2019, the man attended a different Ninth Street business and once again failed to pay for the merchandise as he left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On January 9th, 2019, the man was located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on February 12th, 2019.
