16 yr old Dollard-Des-Ormeaux Speeder Nabbed by SD&G OPP – 011119

IMPAIRED DRIVER

(SOUTH DUNDAS, ON) – On January 09, 2019 at approximately 10:07am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to report of a single vehicle collision on County Road 8 in South Dundas Township. The investigation revealed that the adult female driver was under the influence of alcohol.

Courtney CASSELMAN (20) of South Dundas, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

– Drive a Motor Vehicle while Impaired

– Drive a Motor Vehicle with over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in blood

She was released and is scheduled to appear in Morrisburg Court February 5, 2019.

FLIGHT FROM POLICE

(SOUTH STORMONT, ON) – On January 09, 2019 at approximately 13:02pm, Stormont Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officer attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation on Highway 401, South Stormont Township. The vehicle failed to comply with the request and continued on until it was successfully intercepted by officers, without incident. 

As the vehicle continued on it was traveling at excessive speeds. The vehicles was impounded and his driver’s permits seized for seven (7) days in accordance to policy and was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).The vehicle was stopped for travelling 209km/h in a 100km/h zone.

A 16 year-old male driver of Dollard-Des-Ormeaux, Quebec was arrested and is charged with:

– Flight while pursued by peace officers

– Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act)

He was released and is scheduled to appear in Cornwall Court on February 21, 2019.
