ASSAULT CAUSE BODILY HARM

Cornwall, ON – A 50-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on February 5th, 2019 and charged with assault cause bodily harm. It is alleged on February 4th, 2019, the man assaulted his girlfriend, causing her to seek medical attention for her injuries. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On February 5th, 2019, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 12th, 2019. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Samantha Derouchie, 26, of Cornwall was arrested on February 5th, 2019 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the woman failed to attend court on November 1st, 2018 for a fraud offence and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On February 5th, 2019, she was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on March 12th, 2019.

Cornwall, ON – Eric Sisto, 27, of Akwesasne was arrested on February 5th, 2019 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to attend court on December 27th, 2018 for breaching his probation and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On February 5th, 2019, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – Jessica Albers, 26, of Cornwall was arrested on February 5th, 2019 and charged with assault. It is alleged on November 20th, 2018, the woman assaulted a child who was known to her and police were contacted to investigate. On February 5th, 2019, the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on March 12th, 2019.

TAKE MOTOR VEHICLE WITHOUT CONSENT, FAIL TO STOP AT THE SCENE OF AN ACCIDENT

Cornwall, ON – Yvon Lavergne, 61, of Cornwall was arrested on February 5th, 2019 and charged with take motor vehicle without consent and fail to stop at the scene of an accident. It is alleged the man took someone’s vehicle without permission and struck another vehicle in the area of Third Street and Sydney Street. The man then fled the scene of the accident and police were contacted to investigate. Police located the man a short distance away. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 14th, 2019.
