#CCPS Cornwall Police Only Disclose 2 out of 58 Calls For Service MARCH 1, 2019

DOMESTIC BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 21-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on February 28th, 2019 and charged with breach of recognizance for contacting and being within 50 metres of his girlfriend, as well as for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on February 28th, 2019, the man attended his girlfriend’s residence, despite his conditions, and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Christopher Sabourin, 27, of Cornwall was arrested on March 1st, 2019 and charged with theft under $5000, breach of recognizance for failing to abide by a curfew, as well as breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on February 26th, 2019, the man attended a Ninth Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On March 1st, 2019, police located the man in breach of his conditions. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing.
