ALERT Some Snow Coming Friday March 22 for Cornwall Ontario…or Rain…or Ice Pellets…

What a difference a single degree of temperature can make! Friday some areas are expecting as many as 25cm of snow.

Here in the River City we’re not quite sure what will happen yet.

We can end up with 20cm or snow or a whole lot of rain.

Either way Friday will be a good day to be a duck.

Just in case take the day off and make a long weekend of it and stay warm, stay safe, and get some good lovin’

Special weather statement in effect for:

  • Cornwall – Lancaster
  • Maxville – Alexandria
  • Morrisburg – Long Sault
  • Winchester – Newington

Snowfall amounts of 5 to 15 cm Friday and Friday night.

A low pressure system will track northward along the Eastern Seaboard Friday. Precipitation will begin tonight as rain and mix with snow by morning. Snow may be heavy at times Friday and Friday night.

Snow amounts will depend on the exact track of the low. Most areas will receive 5 to 10 cm of snow, with local amounts of 10 to 15 cm possible. The highest amounts are likely to be for regions along the St. Lawrence River.

Impacts on transportation are likely with this event.
