ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 35-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 3rd, 2019 and charged with assault with a weapon and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged the man assaulted his girlfriend using a phone and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

THREATS

Cornwall, ON – Justin Roddy, 48, of Cornwall was arrested on April 3rd, 2019 and charged with threats. It is alleged on April 3rd, 2019 the man made threats to kill employees of a local organization. Police were contacted and an investigation was conducted by the Criminal Investigation Division. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, CRIMINAL HARASSMENT, POSSESSION OF A WEAPON FOR A DANGEROUS PURPOSE, THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on April 3rd, 2019 and charged with the following:

• Assault x 3
• Assault with a weapon
• Criminal harassment
• Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
• Threats

It is alleged between November 2018 and March 2019, the youth assaulted his ex-girlfriend on three occasions and on another occasion, was in possession of a pair of scissors used to assault her. The youth further made threats to harm his ex-girlfriend and repeatedly followed her, despite being warned not to. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 3rd, 2019, the youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Andrew Conway, 31, of Cornwall was arrested on April 3rd, 2019 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man breached his recognizance and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On April 3rd, 2019, the man was stopped at the Port of Entry and police were contacted. The man was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.
