The Greens will continue to get major media coverage which will ramp up as we get closer to the election date.
We are already seeing this happen. Why?
Media types will have a hard time saying positive things about the Trudeau government and I suspect many feel disappointed and betrayed by his broken promises, utter incompetence and continued missteps.
If you don’t want a Liberal majority and you don’t want a Conservative one either, you have to push for a minority government. With the NDP slip-sliding their way into the wilderness, the most likely choice for many would be a Green-Liberal coalition or informal voting arrangement.
That will mean Greens taking both Liberal and NDP votes away from Trudeau plus Green polices will appeal to many moderate Conservatives. Watch for the Liberal-NDP-Green fight for the so called “progressive” voter as we get closer to election day.
It will be interesting to see if I am right.
