WARRANT, THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Shawnna Chartrand, 26, of Cornwall was arrested on June 21st, 2019 on the strength of a warrant for failing to sign in to police on two occasions in May. She was also charged with theft under $5000 and breach of recognizance for possessing alcohol, as well as breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on May 12th, 2019, the woman attended a Second Street business and removed liquor, making no attempt to pay for the merchandise as she left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On June 21st, 2019, police located the woman and took her into custody on the strength of the warrant. She was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

THEFT UNDER $5000

Cornwall, ON – Ashley Cope, 35, of Cornwall was arrested on June 21st, 2019 and charged with two counts of theft under $5000. It is alleged on June 16th and 20th, the woman attended a Ninth Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as she left the store. On June 21st, 2019, the woman re-attended the business and was stopped by a Loss Prevention Officer, at which time police were contacted. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on August 8th, 2019.

POSSESSION OF COCAINE

Cornwall, ON – Bradley Bonk, 30, of Cornwall was arrested on June 21st, 2019 and charged with possession of cocaine. It is alleged while investigating an unrelated matter, the intoxicated man was found to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on July 16th, 2019.

REFUSAL

Cornwall, ON – Huzama Baqi, 21, of Cornwall was arrested on June 21st, 2019 and charged with refusing to provide a sample of his breath. It is alleged the man failed to provide a proper sample of his breath upon demand during a traffic stop in the area of First Street and Pitt Street. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 11th, 2019.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Ronald Regnier, 47, of Cornwall was arrested on June 22nd, 2019 and charged with breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged during the early morning hours on June 22nd, 2019, the man was observed trespassing on properties in the area of Twelfth Street and Miron Avenue and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on July 11th, 2019.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Ryan Mitchell, 22, of Cornwall was arrested on June 22nd, 2019 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to appear for court on February 28th, 2019 and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On June 22nd, 2019 he attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on July 25th, 2019.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – Jeannie Quesnel, 42, of Cornwall was arrested on June 22nd, 2019 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged the woman was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol in the area of Laflin Avenue and Alguire Street and an investigation ensued. She was taken into custody during a traffic stop, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 2nd, 2019.

TRESPASSING AT NIGHT, POSSESSION OF COUNTERFEIT MONEY, POSSESSION OF A WEAPON FOR A DANGEROUS PURPOSE, CARRYING A CONCEALED WEAPON, MISCHIEF UNDER $5000 X 2

Cornwall, ON – Jamie Garlow, 26, of Cornwall was arrested on June 22nd, 2019 and charged with the following:

• Trespassing at night
• Possession of counterfeit money
• Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
• Carrying a concealed weapon
• Mischief under $5000 x 2

It is alleged during the night of June 22nd, 2019, the man had attended a residence that did not belong to him and damaged the tires of two vehicles in the driveway. Police were contacted and located the man, at which time he was taken into custody and found to be in possession of a knife and a counterfeit $100 USD bill. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Ian Craig, 42, of Cornwall was arrested on June 23rd, 2019 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man breached his probation and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On June 23rd, 2019 he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

TRESPASSING AT NIGHT, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME, RESIST ARREST, DISGUISE WITH INTENT, POSSESSION OF BREAK-IN INSTRUMENTS

Cornwall, ON – Devyn-James Seyeau was arrested on June 24th, 2019 and charged with the following:

• Trespassing at night
• Possession of property obtained by crime
• Resist arrest
• Disguise with intent
• Possession of break-in instruments

It is alleged during the early morning hours on June 24th, 2019, the man attended various parked vehicles in the area of Briarhill Avenue and Alguire Street, all the while concealing his identity. Police were contacted and took the man into custody after a brief struggle, where he was found to be in possession of various items that did not belong to him, as well as break-in tools. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
