WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – A 33-year-old man of Ohsweken, ON was arrested on July 11th, 2019 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged on multiple occasions between 2018 and 2019, the man repeatedly sent harassing emails to his ex-girlfriend and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On July 11th, 2019, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on July 23rd, 2019. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – A 39-year-old woman and a 56-year-old man, both of Cornwall, were arrested on July 11th, 2019 and charged with assault with a weapon. The woman was also charged with breach of probation for possessing a weapon and failing to keep the peace. During an altercation on July 11th, 2019, it is alleged the man and woman assaulted each other using a bat. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, both individuals were taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Their names were not released as it would identify the victims in the matter.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – A 35-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on July 12th, 2019 and charged with domestic assault. The man had allegedly assaulted his wife on July 11th, 2019 and police were contacted to investigate. On July 12th, 2019 he was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on July 30th, 2019. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
