Xanax & Meth Bust in Cornwall Ontario 081919 #CPS

DOMESTIC BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 63-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on August 16th, 2019 and charged with breach of undertaking for contacting his common-law wife and for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on August 16th, 2019, the man attended his common-law wife’s residence and police were contacted. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

POSSESSION FOR THE PURPOSE OF TRAFFICKING, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Devon Brown, 20, and Victoria Porter-Masson, 26, both of Cornwall were arrested on August 16th, 2019 and charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking Xanax and methamphetamine. Brown was also charged with breach of probation x 3 for possessing drugs and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on August 16th, 2019 the individuals were found in possession of a quantity of Xanax and methamphetamine. Both individuals were taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Brian David Snyder, 33, of Cornwall was arrested on August 16th, 2019 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to attend court on August 13th, 2019 for an assault offence and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On August 16th, 2019, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – Alex Sinnott, 27, of Cornwall was arrested on August 17th, 2019 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged the man was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol in the area of Laflin Street and Alguire Street. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on September 12th, 2019.

THEFT UNDER, ASSAULT, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Ronald Regnier, 47, of Cornwall was arrested on August 17th, 2019 and charged with theft under $5000, assault, and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on August 14th, 2019, the man attended a Second Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the store. He was stopped by a Loss Prevention Officer, who he assaulted before fleeing the area. Police were contacted and located the man on August 17th, 2019 during a traffic stop. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 26th, 2019.

ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – Christopher Forget, 36, of Cornwall was arrested on August 17th, 2019 and charged with assault. It is alleged the man assaulted a man who he did not know and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on September 26th, 2019.

OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – David Colon, 31, of Massena, NY was arrested on August 18th, 2019 and charged with over 80. It is alleged the man was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol in the area of Thirteenth Street and Brookdale Avenue. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop, was charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on September 26th, 2019.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Robin Olive, 63, of Cornwall was arrested on August 18th, 2019 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man assaulted a man he did not know and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On August 18th, 2019, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on September 26th, 2019.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on August 18th, 2019 and charged with breach of undertaking for failing to reside at a certain address. It is alleged the youth had been residing at a different residence than indicated in her conditions and an investigation ensued. On August 18th, 2019, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
