DOMESTIC BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 35-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on August 30th, 2019 and charged with breach of recognizance for contacting his girlfriend. It is alleged on August 25th, 2019, the man had contacted his girlfriend, despite his conditions, and police were contacted to investigate. On August 30th, 2019, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

CARRYING A CONCEALED WEAPON, USING FIREARM IN COMMISSION OF OFFENCE, POSSESSION OF A WEAPON FOR A DANGEROUS PURPOSE, CARELESS USE OF A FIREARM, THREATS, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 16-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on August 30th, 2019 and charged with the following:

• Carrying a concealed weapon
• Using firearm in commission of offence
• Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
• Careless use of a firearm
• Threats
• Breach of youth probation for failing to keep the peace

It is alleged on August 25th, 2019, the youth made a threat to shoot three youths who were known to him while brandishing a pellet gun. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On August 30th, 2019, the youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

ASSAULT, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Two 16-year-old youths were arrested on August 30th, 2019 and charged with assault. One of the youths was also charged with breach of undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged in May, the youths assaulted a 16-year-old boy known to them and police were contacted to investigate. On August 30th, 2019, both youths were taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. Their names were not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Keith Seyeau, 44, of Cornwall was arrested on August 30th, 2019 and charged with three counts of breach of recognizance for failing to remain in his residence, failing to notify a change of address to police, as well as failing to reside with his surety. It is alleged the man had changed his residence without notifying police and was located on August 30th in breach of his conditions. An investigation ensued and the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON

Cornwall, ON – A 59-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on August 30th, 2019 and charged with assault with a weapon. It is alleged the woman assaulted a man known to her with an ironing board and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 26th, 2019. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Desiree Bouchard, 25, of Cornwall was arrested on August 30th, 2019 and charged with two counts of breach of undertaking for failing to sign in and failing to notify police of a change of address. It is alleged the woman breached her conditions on August 29th when she failed to sign in to police. On August 30th, 2019, she attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on October 8th, 2019.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Melissa Stroud, 40, of Cornwall was arrested on August 30th, 2019 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged the woman attended a Ninth Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as she left the store. She was subsequently stopped by a Loss Prevention Officer and police were contacted. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on October 10th, 2019.

SHOPLIFTING, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Jody Burgess, 50, of Cornwall was arrested on August 31st, 2019 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on August 25th, 2019, the man attended a Second Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On August 31st, 2019, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on October 10th, 2019.

DOMESTIC MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on August 31st, 2019 and charged with domestic mischief. It is alleged during an argument with her boyfriend, the woman struck the man’s vehicle with an object, causing damage to the vehicle. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was taken into custody during a traffic stop on August 31st, 2019. She was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on October 15th, 2019. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – Nicholas Laframboise, 29, of Cornwall was arrested on September 1st, 2019 and charged with over 80. It is alleged while parked in the area of Carleton Street and Montreal Road, the man was found to be in care and control of a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Police were contacted and took the man into custody. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 12th, 2019.

OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – Dalton Benedict, 20, of Snye, QC was arrested on September 1st, 2019 and charged with over 80. It is alleged the man had attended the Port of Entry in a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 12th, 2019.

SHOPLIFTING, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Jessica Lemieux, 30, of Cornwall was arrested on September 1st, 2019 and charged with theft under $5000, as well as breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged the woman attended a Brookdale Avenue business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as she left the store. She was subsequently stopped by a Loss Prevention Officer and police were contacted. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on October 8th, 2019.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – Lisa Provost, 51, of Cornwall was arrested on September 1st, 2019 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged the woman was operating a motor vehicle in the area of Tollgate Road and Pitt Street while under the influence of alcohol. Police were contacted and took the woman into custody. She was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 12th, 2019.

THREATS, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, MISCHIEF UNDER $5000, POSSESSION OF A WEAPON FOR A DANGEROUS PURPOSE, CARRYING A CONCEALED WEAPON, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Christopher Riviere, 34, of Cornwall was arrested on September 1st, 2019 and charged with the following:

• Threats
• Assault with a weapon
• Mischief under $5000
• Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
• Carrying a concealed weapon
• Breach of probation for failing to keep the peace

It is alleged on September 1st, 2019, during an altercation with a man known to him, Christopher Riviere damaged the man’s door. It is further alleged the man had an altercation with another man, at which time Christopher made threats to kill him while brandishing a knife. Police were contacted and took the man into custody. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Marc Dumond, 54, of Cornwall was arrested on September 2nd, 2019 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to attend for prints on June 3rd, 2019 and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On September 2nd, 2019, the man was located by police and was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant. The warrant was executed and the man was released to appear in court on October 10th, 2019.
