DOMESTIC THREATS
Cornwall, ON – A 33-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on September 11th, 2019 and charged with domestic threats. It is alleged the man threatened to kill his common-law-wife and police were contacted to investigate. On September 11th, 2019, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on October 1st, 2019. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
THREATS X 2, CRIMINAL HARASSMENT X 2, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON
Cornwall, ON – A 16-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on September 11th, 2019 and charged with two counts of threats, two counts of criminal harassment, as well as assault with a weapon. It is alleged throughout 2019, the youth repeatedly contacted and engaged in threatening conduct with another youth who was known to him. On two occasions, the youth made threats to harm the other youth, as well as assaulted him using a bottle. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On September 11th, 2019, the youth attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
SEXUAL ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – Linzey Brownell, 25 of Cornwall, was arrested on September 11th, 2019 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the woman breached her conditional sentence order and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On September 11th, 2019, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 26th, 2019.
BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Michael Bedard, 37, of Cornwall was arrested on September 11th, 2019 and charged with sexual assault. It is alleged in August 2017, the man sexually assaulted a woman known to him and police were contacted to investigate. On September 11th, 2019, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on October 22nd, 2019.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Andrew Mancini, 30, of Cornwall was arrested on September 11th, 2019 and charged with breach of recognizance for failing to remain outside of the city of Cornwall. He was also charged with breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on September 11th, 2019, the man was located at a Ninth Street business and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
