Cornwall Ontario Police Blotter for Friday September 13, 2019 #CPS

MISCHIEF UNDER $5000, BREACH YOUTH PROBATION

Cornwall, ON – A 19-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on September 12th, 2019 and charged with mischief under $5000 and breach of youth probation. It is alleged while attending a McConnell Avenue facility on August 29th, the man punched a hand sanitizer dispenser, causing damage to the device. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On September 12th, 2019, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as the conditions stem from when the man was a youth and is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – James Logan, 69, of Cornwall was arrested on September 12th, 2019 and charged with breach of recognizance for contacting a certain person. It is alleged on August 15th, 2019, he had contact with a certain person, despite his conditions, and an investigation ensued. On September 12th, 2019, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

THREATS

Cornwall, ON – Megan Lafave, 28, of Cornwall was arrested on September 12th, 2019 and charged with two counts of threats. It is alleged the woman made threats to kill a woman known to her, as well as her child. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On September 12th, 2019, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on October 22nd, 2019.
