DOMESTIC ASSAULT, MISCHIEF, THREATS X 2
Cornwall, ON – A 19-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on December 6th, 2019 and charged with domestic assault, mischief, as well as two counts of uttering threats. It is alleged during an altercation with his girlfriend on December 6th, the man assaulted her and made threats to kill her and their child. The man also allegedly damaged a bowl. Police were contacted and took the accused into custody. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victims in the matter.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – David Gaudet, 45, of Cornwall was arrested on December 6th, 2019 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged on September 5th, 2018, the man assaulted someone known to him using a wooden object, causing an injury that required medical attention. Police were contacted and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On December 6th, 2019, the man was located by police and taken into custody on the strength of the warrant. The warrant was executed and he was held in custody to await a bail hearing.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Dawn Lapensee, 35, of Brockville was arrested on December 7th, 2019 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged on December 28th, 2018, the woman was in possession of stolen lottery tickets and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On December 7th, 2019, the woman was taken into custody by a member of the Brockville Police Service on the strength of Cornwall’s warrant. The warrant was executed and the woman was released to appear in court on January 9th, 2020.
POSSESSION FOR THE PURPOSE OF TRAFFICKING, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME, POSSESSION OF A WEAPON FOR A DANGEROUS PURPOSE, CARRYING A CONCEALED WEAPON, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Brittany Howard-Markell, 28, and Malcolm Pyper, 23, both of Cornwall, were arrested on December 7th, 2019 and charged with the following:
Brittany Howard-Markell:
• Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine)
• Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of trafficking (methamphetamine)
• Breach of probation (for failing to keep the peace)
Malcolm Pyper:
• Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine)
• Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of trafficking (methamphetamine)
• Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
• Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
• Carrying a concealed weapon
• Breach of probation (for failing to keep the peace)
It is alleged on December 7th, 2019, while police were investigating an unrelated matter, both individuals were located in possession of a quantity of cocaine and methamphetamine. They were taken into custody, at which time the man was also found in possession of bear mace and a quantity of Canadian currency. They were both charged accordingly and each held for a bail hearing.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Devyn-James Seyeau, 23, of Cornwall was arrested on December 7th, 2019 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to attend court on July 11th, 2019 for a possession of property obtained by crime offence and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On December 7th, 2019, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT, ASSAULT, MISCHIEF
Cornwall, ON – A 26-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on December 8th, 2019 and charged with domestic assault, assault, as well as mischief. It is alleged during an argument with his girlfriend on December 8th, the man assaulted her, as well as damaged a Christmas tree in the residence. The man also allegedly assaulted his girlfriend’s mother. Police were contacted and took the man into custody. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on January 7th, 2020. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
FAIL TO APPEAR FOR PRINTS, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Shawna Mitchell, 41, of Cornwall was arrested on December 8th, 2019 and charged with failing to appear for prints and breach of undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on December 6th, 2019, the woman failed to attend for prints and an investigation ensued. On December 8th, 2019, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 31st, 2019.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Jerry Martin, 42, of Cornwall was arrested on December 8th, 2019 on the strength of multiple warrants. It is alleged the man had breached his probation, failed to appear for prints on October 21st, 2019, and failed to attend court on October 31st, 2019 for a theft offence. An investigation ensued and warrants were subsequently issued for his arrest. On December 8th, 2019, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrants and was released to appear in court on January 7th, 2020.
ASSAULT WITH INTENT TO RESIST ARREST
Cornwall, ON – Jeffrey McAteer, 39, of Cornwall was arrested on December 8th, 2019 and charged with assault with intent to resist arrest. On December 8th, police were called to an unwanted person complaint, at which time the man became uncooperative with police. A struggle ensued and the man subsequently assaulted a police officer. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on January 7th, 2020.
