Cornwall Police Only Disclose 2 Out of 63 Calls For Service DECEMBER 13, 2019 #CPS

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 63-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on December 12th, 2019 and charged with breach of recognizance x 6 for contacting and being within a distance of a certain person, attending a certain residence, failing to reside at a certain address, as well as failing to notify a change of address to police. It is alleged on November 3rd, 2019, the man attended the area of a certain person’s residence and police were contacted to investigate. On December 12th, 2019, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

SEXUAL ASSAULT, BREACH OF UNDERTAKING

Cornwall, ON – A 31-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on December 12th, 2019 and charged with sexual assault. He was also charged with three counts of breach of undertaking for contacting his girlfriend, attending her residence, and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged between November and December, the man sexually assaulted his girlfriend and police were contacted to investigate. On December 12th, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
