Cornwall Ontario Police Blotter for February 19, 2020 #CPS

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on February 18th, 2020 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to attend court on December 24th, 2019 for a criminal harassment offence and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On February 18th, 2020, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as the incident stems from a domestic occurrence and would identify the victim in the matter.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Jacob Wollinger, 25, of Cornwall was arrested on February 18th, 2020 and charged with breach of release order for failing to reside at a certain residence. It is alleged of February 11th, 2020, an investigation ensued where it was learned the man was no longer residing at the residence indicated in his release order. On February 18th, 2020, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 12th, 2020.

DOMESTIC BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 46-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on February 18th, 2020 and charged with four counts of breach of probation for contacting her ex-common-law husband, being within 50 metres of his residence, and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on February 9th, 2020, the woman contacted her ex-common-law husband, despite her conditions, and police were contacted to investigate. On February 18th, the woman was taken into custody during a traffic stop, at which time she was located within 50 metres of her ex-common-law husband’s residence. She was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 17th, 2020. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
