SHOPLIFTING
Cornwall, ON – Amy Lauber-Proulx, 41, of Cornwall was arrested on March 6th, 2020 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged on March 6th, 2020, the woman attended a Ninth Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as she left the store. She was stopped by a Loss Prevention Officer and police were contacted. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 9th, 2020.
DRUG OFFENCES
Cornwall, ON – Allison Taylor-Lauzon, 19, of Williamstown was arrested on March 6th, 2020 and charged with possession of a Schedule I substance, cocaine, and possession of a Schedule III substance, psilocybin. It is alleged during a traffic stop on March 6th, 2020, the woman was observed in possession of a quantity of cocaine and psilocybin. During the traffic stop, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 7th, 2020.
IMPAIRED, OVER 80
Cornwall, ON – Brendan Lalonde, 28, of Lunenburg was arrested on March 8th, 2020 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged during the early morning hours on March 8th, 2020, the man was operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol in the area of Thirteenth Street and Brookdale Avenue. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 12th, 2020.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Kayla Harps, 29, of Cornwall was arrested on March 8th, 2020 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the woman failed to attend court on January 30th, 2020 for a possession of property obtained by crime offence and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On March 8th, 2020, she was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on April 21st, 2020.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – A 20-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 8th, 2020 and charged with domestic assault. It is alleged between December 2019 and March 2020, the man assaulted his girlfriend and police were contacted to investigate. On March 8th, 2020, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 31st, 2020. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
IMPAIRED, OVER 80
Cornwall, ON – Serge Robert Dumesnil, 28, of Williamstown was arrested on March 8th, 2020 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged on March 8th, 2020, the man was operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol in the area of Tollgate Road and Brookdale Avenue. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 12th, 2020.
