Cornwall Police Only Disclose 4 of 127 Weekend Calls for Service #CPS 033020

PUBLIC MISCHIEF, FRAUD OVER $5000, REMOVING VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER, PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME, FRAUDULANT CONCEALMENT


Cornwall, ON – Lori McConkey, 56 of Cornwall was arrested on March 28th, 2020 and charged with public mischief, fraud over $5000, removing vehicle identification number, property obtained by crime and fraud concealment
It is alleged the woman reported that tractor was stolen sometime on November 14th, 2019 and an investigation ensued. On March 18th, 2020 the tractor was located at a Marleau Avenue address and the vehicle’s identification number had been removed. The woman was located on March 28th, 2020, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 2nd, 2020.


MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – An 18-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 28th, 2020 and charged with mischief. It is alleged on March 27th, 2020 the man damaged property at his mother’s residence and police were contacted to investigate. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 2nd, 2020. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

IMPAIRED OPERATION OF A MOTOR VEHICLE, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – Tyler Pyper, 22 of Cornwall was arrested on March 28th, 2020 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged the man was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol when it stuck a residence on York Street. Police were contacted and located the man. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 2nd, 2020.

CRIMINAL HARASSMENT

Cornwall, ON – A 28-year-old Morrisburg man was arrested on March 28th, 2020 and charged with criminal harassment. It is alleged during the month of March, 2020 the man installed a camera at his ex-common-law’s residence and police were contacted to investigate. The man was later taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 16th, 2020. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 34-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 29th, 2020 and charged with breach of undertaking for communicating with his ex-girlfriend and being within 100 meters of her residence. It is alleged on March 29th, 2020 the man attended his ex-girlfriend’s residence and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 2nd, 2020. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

There were 127 calls for service in the City of Cornwall in over the weekend (8am Friday to 8am Monday morning).
