#OPP Charge JASON DURION & STEPHA FRANKLIN in Cty Rd 43 Break In 062520

CHARGES LAID – BREAK IN

(NORTH GLENGARRY, ON) – On January 7, 2020 at approximately 1:00 a.m., members of the Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a break in a residence on County Road 43 in North Glengarry Township.

The investigation has determined that four individuals, wearing disguises, attempted to break into the residence. The suspects had various weapons but were confronted by the home owner and fled in a vehicle.

The victims were not injured.

On January 11, 2020 SD&G OPP Crime Unit arrested and charged Jason DURION (age 46) of Cornwall, Ontario with;

–             Break and enter a place – with intent to commit indictable offence

–             Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose

–             Conspiracy to commit indictable offence

–             Disguise with intent

DURION was held in custody and was scheduled to appear in Cornwall court.

On June 24, 2020 SD&G OPP Crime Unit arrested and charged Stepha FRANKLIN (age 30) of Cornwall, Ontario with;

–             Break and enter a place – with intent to commit indictable offence

–             Conspiracy to commit indictable offence

–             Disguise with intent

–            Fail to comply with conditions of a probation order ( four counts)

Franklin was held in custody and is scheduled to appear in Cornwall court.

SD&G Crime unit continue to investigate.
