Cornwall Mayor Bernadette Clement Needs to Resign from the EOHU Board if She Wants to Be @ Marches. By Jamie Gilcig

SEPTEMBER 18, 2020 – It’s great to be able to use tax money to promote your causes. It’s one of the perks of getting elected.

However in 2020 we’re in the midst of a second wave of COVID-19. While Cornwall has either been really lucky with low case numbers, or really good at hiding our actual cases, the Mayor was at the center of one march, and is now scheduled to speak at another.

Marches are old school and in normal times a great way to participate in Democracy. However we are clearly are in a world where gatherings are not a good thing right now including more cases in the EOHU area.

Paul Roumeliotis is the highly paid head of the EOHU. Ms Clement sits on its board with her pet Monkey Syd Gardiner as well.

How does Paul sanction the Mayor without risking her wrath, and this writer can tell you how petty and how much she loves her grudges. There are no tax dollars she won’t spend to fulfill them.

But at a certain point public safety has to come first.

And this is that time. If she insists in participating in this latest march, instead of doing it online where it would be of more value she should step down from the EOHU.

If you don’t follow the Chief Medical Officers guidelines and rules then you can’t be on the board. It’s dangerous and grossly hypocritical, but then again, we are talking about Bernadette Clement……
