TODAY I HAD MY EYES OPENED WIDE!

What I witnessed during my 4+hour stay in the Cornwall Hospital Acute Care Emergency Department this afternoon, gave me a new respect for appreciation for hard working and dedicated medical staff.

I was able to witness their frustration, yet dedication, treating critically ill Covid patients who had refused and even though dealing with what could well be a fatal illness, still mistrust and refuse the Covid vaccination.

I watched exhausted medical staff ‘gown up’ time and again, go into the isolation room to clean up bodily fluid contaminated with the Covid 19 virus.

I witnessed their exhausted frustration. I heard their exhausted desperation voiced. I heard the doctors’ frustrated comments.

I TOTALLY AGREE DOCTOR, PEOPLE DEFINITELY DO NEED TOO SEE WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THE HOSPITAL. THEY NEED TO KNOW THE TRUTH OF THE COVID SITUATION.

As I was discharged and getting ready to go home to my safe, quiet home, I heard, who I believe to have been the floor manager, ask these very frustrated, exhausted and very dedicated angels of mercy, if there was anyone willing to work the next shift as well because they are short staffed.

Yes, they are angry with those who, ‘do their own research’, refusing the vaccination that is saving lives. They are frustrated with these people who seek the very people they mock and distrust and demonstrate against, to save their lives.

I agree with those who said that the people who believe the Covid 19 is a hoax should be brought through the Covid Unit and the Emergency department to hopefully have their eyes opened to the truth. I don’t see that this is possible.

I JUST HOPE THAT MY SMALL VOICE WILL BE HEARD ATLEAST BY A FEW.

Thank you Orthopaedic Clinic and the Emergency Department for the caring and compassionate care.
