Busy Weekend of Crime in Cornwall Ontario POLICE BLOTTER – May 26, 2022

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Gabriel Yeboah, 27, of Caledon, Ontario, was arrested on May 20th, 2022, on an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that on April 13th, 2022, the man was scheduled to attend for fingerprints, failed to do so, and a warrant was issued. On May 20th, 2022, the man attended Police Headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed and he was released to appear in court on June 28th, 2022.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Larry Seguin, 50, of Montreal, Quebec, was arrested on May 20th, 2022, and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged that on February 9th, 2022, the man attended a Ninth Street business and removed merchandise without making an attempt to pay for the items as he was leaving the store. Police were contacted an investigation ensued. On May 20th, 2022, the man was located during an unrelated matter, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 28th, 2022.

ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON

Cornwall, ON – Adelheid Molzahn, 71, of Cornwall, was arrested on May 20th, 2022, and charged with assault with a weapon. It is alleged that on May 20th, 2022, the woman threw wine on another woman after a verbal argument. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on June 23rd, 2022.

BREACH OF RELEASE ORDER, UTTERING THREATS

Cornwall, ON –  A 23-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on May 20th, 2022, and charged with breaching a release order and uttering threats. The man is bound by a release order with the relevant condition to stay in his residence at all times. It is alleged that on May 20th, 2022, the male was seen outside of his residence and further made threats to burn his ex-girlfriend’s residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

ASSAULT, UTTERING THREATS, MISCHIEF UNDER $5000

Cornwall, ON – Denis Taillefer, 55, of Cornwall, was arrested on May 21st, 2022, and charged with assault, uttering threats, and mischief under $5000. It is alleged that on May 21st, 2022, the man struck another male, made threats to harm him, and caused damage to his residence. Police were contacted an investigation ensued. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on June 28th, 2022.

MISCHIEF UNDER $5000

Cornwall, ON – Austin Bennett, 27, of Cornwall, was arrested on May 21st, 2022, and charged with mischief under $5000. It is alleged that on May 21st, 2022, the male caused damage to another person’s e-bike. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on June 28th, 2022.

CAUSING A DISTURBANCE

Cornwall, ON – Andre Rose, 34, of Val Gagner, Ontario, was arrested on May 22nd, 2022, and charged with causing a disturbance. It is alleged that on May 22nd, 2022, the male was outside of a residence, yelling, and caused the occupants to fear for their safety. Police were contacted and the man asked to leave the area. The male subsequently returned and continued causing a disturbance, despite being warned by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on June 28th, 2022.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Alain Boudrias, 45, of Cornwall, was arrested on May 22nd, 2022, and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged that on May 22nd, 2022, the man attended a Ninth Street business and removed merchandise without making an attempt to pay for the items as he was leaving the store. The man was taken into custody by the Loss Prevention Officer and police were contacted. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 28th, 2022.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT, BREACH OF PROBATION

Cornwall, ON – A 29-year-old-man of Cornwall, was arrested on May 22nd, 2022, and charged with assault and breach of probation. It is alleged that on two separate occasions, the man assaulted his ex-girlfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on June 28th, 2022. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 39-year-old man of Cornwall, was arrested on May 22nd, 2022, and charged with assault. It is alleged that on May 22nd, 2022, the man struck his girlfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on June 9th, 2022. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Amanda MacMillan, 33, of Cornwall, was arrested on May 22nd, 2022, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. On May 17th, 2022, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. On May 22nd, 2022, police were contacted for an unrelated matter and located the woman. The warrant was executed and she was released to appear in court on June 28th, 2022.

SHOPLIFTING, FRAUD UNDER $5000

Cornwall, ON – Jeffrey Burles, 37, of Cornwall, was arrested on May 23rd, 2022, and charged with theft under $5000 and fraud under $5000. It is alleged that on May 21st, 2022, the man attended a Ninth Street business, selected merchandise and attempted to return it and defraud the store. After being denied by staff, the male left the store with the merchandise without making an attempt to pay for it. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On May 23rd, 2022, the male was located during an unrelated matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on June 28th, 2022.

CRIMINAL HARASSMENT

Cornwall, ON – A 23-year-old male of Cornwall, was arrested on May 23rd, 2022, and charged with criminal harassment. It is alleged on multiple occasions between May 11-20th, 2022, the man repeatedly followed his ex-girlfriend and her boyfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On May 23rd, 2022, the man attended Police Headquarters to turn himself in. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on June 7th, 2022. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – Kimberly Ladouceur, 47, of Cornwall, was arrested on May 23rd, 2022, and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged on May 23rd, 2022, the woman had been operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol. An investigation ensued and the woman was subsequently taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 14th, 2022.

IMPAIRED, REFUSAL

Cornwall, ON – James MacCulloch, 64, of Cornwall, was arrested on May 23rd, 2022, and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and refusal. It is alleged on May 23rd, 2022, the man had been operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol and was taken into custody. During the investigation, it is alleged that the man refused to provide a suitable sample of his breath. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 14th, 2022.

IMPAIRED, FLIGHT FROM POLICE, DRIVING WHILE PROHIBITED, POSESSION OF SCHEDULE 1 SUBSTANCE

Cornwall, ON – Marc Lefebvre, 52, of Cornwall, was arrested on May 24th, 2022, and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, flight from police, possession of schedule 1 substance, and driving while prohibited. It is alleged that on May 24th, 2022, the man tried to drive away from police after being pulled over. He was located shortly after and taken into custody. An investigation revealed that the man had been operating his vehicle under the influence of drugs, was in possession of a substance believed to be cocaine, and was bound by a driving prohibition which does not allow for him to operate a motor vehicle. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 14th, 2022.
