DOMESTIC ASSAULT, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – An 18-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on May 14th, 2019 and charged with assault and breach of youth probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on April 7th, 2019, the man assaulted his girlfriend and police were contacted to investigate. On May 14th, 2019, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

TRAFFICKING IN A SCHEDULE I SUBSTANCE, POSSESSION OF A SCHEDULE I SUBSTANCE, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – As a result of an ongoing investigation by the Cornwall Police Service Street Crime Unit, Albert Jocko, 27, of Cornwall was arrested on May 14th, 2019 and charged with the following:

• Trafficking in a Schedule I Substance (Cocaine)
• Possession of a Schedule I Substance (Cocaine)
• Possession of property obtained by crime
• Breach of probation (for possessing drugs and failing to keep the peace)

It is alleged on May 14th, 2019, the man was found to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine and Canadian currency during a traffic stop and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing.

POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE, POSSESSION OF COCAINE

Cornwall, ON – Donna Belanger, 44, of Cornwall was arrested on May 14th, 2019 and charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of cocaine. It is alleged while investigating an unrelated matter on May 14th, 2019, the woman was found to be in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine and cocaine and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 30th, 2019.

DOMESTIC BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 39-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on May 15th, 2019 and charged with breach undertaking x 3 for failing to keep the peace, as well as contacting and being within 100 metres of her boyfriend. She was also charged with breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on May 15th, 2019, while stopped at the Port of Entry, the woman was observed in the company of her boyfriend and police were contacted. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
