There’s going to be a special City Council meeting on Arena naming rights this Tuesday at City Hall. If you don’t want the arena project to go through it may be a good time to drop by and share your opinion. Meeting starts at 4 PM.
L I N K So what happens if the Feds don’t accept the arena project for funding?
According to a government spokesperson, 426 applications have been put forward by Ontario communities under the second intake of the Building Canada Fund (BCF) Communities Component – the same program Cornwall is trying to tap for the new multi-sports centre.
City hall is counting on two-thirds funding from the provincial and federal governments for the project.
And in the meanwhile they’re freezing the hiring of Doctors when there’s already a shortage! L I N K
